![]() The Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) promise an innovative programme of events at this year’s Automechanika, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 7-9 June. The 6m x 19m stand – one of the largest at the show – will feature a ‘Good Garage’ and a ‘Bad Garage’. Situated at either end of the stand, the contrasting examples aim to show the best and worst practices of the aftermarket. In between, there will be a seating area in a motor factor setting, featuring interactive presentations to develop the theme of how purchasing OE quality parts, and working with OESAA suppliers, can positively influence garage profitability. OESAA’s presence at Automechanika is central to the group’s drive to raise awareness of the benefits of OE components and the pitfalls of fitting ‘matching quality’ alternatives; which can include hidden costs from breakages, lost labour time and damage to reputation. Commenting on OESAA’s presence, Chairman Nigel Morgan said: “The Automechanika exhibition is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to a large audience the difference that quality OE products can make, by bringing them to life in a simulated garage environment. Vehicle and OE parts manufacturers invest a great deal in research, development and rigorous testing to ensure the highest levels of performance, safety and compatibility. “It’s a message that needs to be communicated as widely as possible as we find that the most reputable garages – those who consistently deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction – understand that technicians need to be fully trained, facilities need to be clean and presentable, and that reliable, OE components should be used wherever possible.” Come and Visit Us - Stand J39 Hall 10
